Today we had the privilege of visiting two incredible schools, Tshepong Edu Care Centre and Genius Mindset Day Care Centre in the Eastern Free State Senekal extension 7, a place where most vulnerable families are situated.
There is a great need of water, electricity and functional toilets. Family’s needs to walk a great mile to go fetch water, no electricity of which is very difficult for the children as they must wake up very early and make fire in order to get hot water and lastly there is no functional toilets of which creates a very unhealthy environment for both the children and the adults.
But these two schools saw a great gap to close for the children of this area. Providing clean water, two meals per day and a safe clean environment for the kids to play. Both schools are in the process of being registered with the Social Development currently running their own funds as they do not have any funding whatsoever.
Privilege Foundation is honoured to be partnering with these two schools in hopes to bring it to a level of excellence and ensuring that they have JoJo tanks for clean running water, a stable food program that will not only feed children for sake of children eating but giving them food full of nutrients and last but not least training for the teachers to equip them with necessary themes and tools that will help them level their school to a school of excellence.
