Renovate our town is a project that is a crucial part of our long term vision. The deterioration of public play areas and general infrastructure, in especially smaller towns, are a big focus area for us. We partner with community and business leaders to address this in various towns country wide. We assist these towns to become a safer, cleaner environment, especially around schools & public areas.
Barend La Grange, well known South African and previously COO at South Africa Day, is a board member at Privilege Foundation, and is leading this project. He has done enormous good work the past 5 years with regards to leadership in communities in this regard.
Barend is also playing a huge part in restoring peace in areas devastated with recent looting attacks. Currently he represent Privilege Foundation bringing communities together in Phoenix, Alexandra, Mamelodi, Winburg and Senekal.
Privilege Foundation has been involved in over 50 towns to date including Kroonstad ( Ignite and Revive Kroonstad) which won Kwela town of the year in 2022 and Senekal (Senekal/Matwabeng Community Forum) which came out first on Kwela town of the year in Free State for the year 2021.
BUILDING BRIDGES TRAUMATIZED COMMUNITIES:
